The Solution For Keeping Your Coffee Creamer Safe at Work

After collaborating with colleagues, friends, and family members a plan to stop the coffee creamer thieves was put in place and has worked flawlessly so far!

Just to give you an idea of how the brainstorming went to stop this common travesty here are a list of ideas presented as "the fix":

  • Put sour milk in an existing coffee creamer container
  • Put vinegar in the existing coffee creamer container
  • Use a rogue container so no one will know what is in there
  • Hide it in a lunch box
  • Hang out in the break room until the thief is caught
  • Install a tiny camera to see who the thief is
  • Pee in the coffee container
While these ideas were all good, one of my co-workers decided to put a plan in motion. She brought a rogue container labled breat milk. So far no one that we know of has been brave enough to take a sip, except for the small group that knows what the container really holds. To date the coffee creamer has not disappeared at an accelerated rate and everyone is happy, in my group anyway.

There is only one problem though. The last time I poured the "breast milk" into my coffee someone that does not belong to my group at work witnessed the whole thing. So either our secret will get out or rumors of me using "breat milk" in my coffee will circulate around the office! I think I can sacrifice being "that person" for the greater good of the coffee creamer.

Coffe Creamer Thieves

I have always thought that everyone has been taught since they were toddlers that you don't touch things that don't belong to you. I'm sure some people will make an exception to this rule if it is a family member, best friend, or significant other. However, I would assume there are no exceptions for people you don't really know, an acquaintance or co-worker perhaps.

The reason I bring this up is because there is a coffee creamer thief at my work!

We have a community refrigerator at my place of work, this is where I kept my brand new bottle of creamer. I was so excited I finally remembered to buy that extra bottle for work. Powder creamer is just not for me, in some ways that makes me spoiled I guess. Oh well. The vanilla flavored cream gave off an exquisite aroma that made me anxious to put the coffee cup to my lips. To ensure that no one would get any ideas that this was the community coffee creamer I wrote my name on the top with a black sharpie in big letters. Assuming the rule we have been taught since we were children would be respected.

I was wrong! Three days later I went back for my occasional cup of morning coffee at work and the bottle was two thirds empty. I couldn't believe it, someone had taken it upon themselves to use my creamer while knowing that it wasn't theirs to use. Shock was my first feeling, I wanted to know who this sneaky creamer bandit was, I had no way of finding who it was however. My next plan of action was to hide the bottle within the fridge, so the thief would know; I have discovered you scandalous ways and now that I know I am not willing to share with you.

Another three days later I come back for my cup of coffee, I bet you can guess what happened. The coffer creamer thief struck again! This time the bottle had been moved from my top secret hiding place and there was only a teaspoon of creamer left. At this point I am angry and appalled, I told that person what was up by hiding the bottle and they refused to recognize my actions.

Currently, my new plan of action is to tape a sticky note to the bottle that says: If your name is not CAMEO do not use.

I am hopeful this tactic will work but if this culprit is determined they won't care. In the case this does happen I will find a way to make sure my coffee creamer is my and all my unless someone asks to use some, at that put I will be happy to share. Sharing is another lesson you learn when you are young, but there is a process to it.

Coffee Creamer Thieves will be stopped!

Questioning December 2012

There has been a lot of discussion about preparing for 2012 happening around me. All this talk is making me frustrated because I don't understand the preparation. I mean how can you prepare for events that are not even sure will happen, where will they happen, will your efforts keep you safe? On top of these  questions I have for the "prepared", what if the events are not bad? What if you are hiding in a cave and miss something rare and good?

I just have a hard time seeing how people can be prepared for the unexpected. Life is still happening now so I am going to enjoy it. If that time comes then I will deal with it then by having a lot of water and canned goods handy in case I survive these theories of events.

However, some of those prepared for catastrophic events may think I am wrong and will be a sitting duck. To each their own.

Welcome 2011

2011 is here and once again I have changed my mind! I want this blog to be about aspects of my life that are important to me. I need the words that I type in this blog to mean something to my life and keep me motivated to be creative.

What am I going to write about this year ( I know you dying to know)? My life purpose will do. A co-worker sent us an email one day asking for us to respond with our birthday and she would then provide our life purpose, from where I am not sure but it sounded like a fun idea. Vision and expression are my life purpose. After I read the description I totally agreed with explanation of my life.

I dwell on the experience in everything I do in life. I have an emotional attachment to almost every memory I have. So, with that being said, I have decided to write about my experiences good and bad and express my thoughts and visions about them.

The roster for possible experiences and visions that could include a rollercoaster of emotions this year:
1) Losing wieght and gaining more self confidence
2) Buying a home
3) My communication skills
4) A baby?
5) Starting a small in-house business
6) Using my creativity in new medias
7) Writing ( a book, a memoir, short story, or a poem)
